June 2018 Graduation
These are words form former drug addicts, prostitutes and gang leaders.
"Today, Graduation Day, is a day unlike any other because it symbolizes the period in our lives where we learned that we had value. We have become extraordinary, strong and trustworthy ladies. We are sisters, we watch out for one another, influence each other, and know that God will use each of us in different ways. We know that we are new creations in Christ and that our pass cannot determine the person we are today." Danella
"God takes the broken and lifts them up. I have Iearned to forgive, love and accept myself. A personal relationship with God is not easy, evil wants to separate us, but I will walk through lions because he gives me strength. I belong to him and I give my life to him." Stanislas
"I was lost. People called me a prostitute, but now I know I am God's child. God is my center, my leader, he gives me freedom from my past and fills me with his Spirit." Wildiane
"My past has no power over me, no power over my future, because my God is great. I have a personal relationship with Jesus. I will follow, serve, praise and give to him all that is his." Francia
"I am the son of a pastor, but because of my behavior and my choices I drove people away from God. The friends I used to be with are now in prison. People would look at me and say, "How can we trust what the pastor says, look at his son?"
"When I arrived at Haiti Teen Challenge it was not easy because each of us wanted to dominate the other. We fought and did not want to live in order and principle, but today we stand as brothers "United." Through the training we received at HTC, we have gained great consciousness about who we are and about what is right and wrong. We have been set free from our past, and changed our attitudes. The Warriors of War are now proclaiming peace, unity and seeking out God's power. We have made peace with Christ and now we fight for Integrity, Honesty, Compassion and Respect, and commit ourselves to serving others. Through HTC and Rendez-Vous Christ Church I have been baptized. Now others will see the changes in me and say, "Look at him, I need to choose Jesus." Ralph
"No parents, no value, I struggled with suicide and evil persecution. I learned that I am no longer a slave to these demons, and I have been freed and use my Bible every day."
"No one loved me. My mom sold me into Voodoo and I could hardly breathe, everything in my head was upside down. I accepted Jesus and every day my life is being transformed." Claude
"My life is a miracle, and without God I would be dead. At age 7 I was forced to live on the streets and I had to steal to survive. I had nothing, no safe place and was put in jail. But HTC accepted me. They took away my phone and gave me a Bible, and now I know God loves me and his love has no limits. For the first time in my life I have hope for the future." Jacky
"I had a bad addiction and was a drug dealer. I carried a gun to protect myself but accidently shot the only person who ever loved me. I ran, smoked a lot of weird drugs, and slept with prostitutes, but God brought me to HTC. I have learned that God is my refuge, my help, and nothing can separate me from his love."
