The HTC Women's Program opened in 2015 and is an 18-month Christian residential discipleship and development program for troubled young Haitian women (ages 16-24). It is designed to help them break the chains of addiction, generational poverty, and be restored by the glory of God.
The HTC Women's Center provides a safe residential living space for up to 28 women. It is located in one of the only secure areas in Port-au-Prince, with convenient access to our other HTC facilities and Rendez-Vous Christ Church. The center provides 24/7 supervision and care. Students have access to laundry and cooking facilities and help to maintain the house and grounds (including a small garden). Students enjoy meeting outside to learn, exercise, and be together in God’s creation. Click below to view what a typical “Day in the Life” is like at the HTC Women’s Center. |
Our current lease is ending, and we need your help to raise the $400,000 needed to purchase the Women’s Center property. (Deadline is August 1, 2024) |
With YOUR support, the HTC Women's Program can continue to TRANSFORM, EQUIP, MOBILIZE, and SUSTAIN young women in Haiti.
TRANSFORM
During their time in the Women's program, students break the cycle of addiction and dependencies, all while reading and studying the word of God. They confront their pasts and embrace God's new design for the family. During the program, they are introduced to new skills and serve in the community.
EQUIP
Each young woman’s skills, abilities, and gifts are identified, and onsite life skills training is provided (including cosmetology, plumbing, sewing, baking, computer skills, leadership, and English). One-on-one mentoring equips them to apply biblical principles to their daily lives. After graduation, scholarships are secured for additional schooling in a vocation/trade, and students receive guidance in finding jobs or internships.
MOBILIZE
HTC Women's Program graduates understand that it is their responsibility to bring healing to their nation. Through authentic Holy Spirit testimonies, they are transforming hearts. Through their stewardship and Christ-like service, they are replacing disorder with God's order in their families and communities.
SUSTAIN
With the support of the HTC staff and alumni resources, these young women can confidently sustain their new life. HTC graduates sustain the marketplace, the local church, and their communities.
