Kervens Olivier

A committed Christian social worker, Kervens dedicates his skills to promoting human development and community well-being.

He holds a degree in social work from the Faculty of Human Sciences (FASCH) at the State University of Haiti (UEH) and has further enhanced his expertise in project management and security risk management at the Francophonie Institute for Sustainable Development at Senghor University. Believing that communication is a vital tool for social transformation, he also trained in multimedia production with Ku-Production.

Kervens first expressed his vocation to serve others through journalism, collaborating with various media outlets such as Haiti Press Network (HPN) and Voice of America (VOA). His reporting focused on the lived realities of Haitian communities, which honed his skills in attentive listening, rigorous social analysis, and interpreting community dynamics—all through the lens of social justice.

Later, he served as a consultant at the Office of the Special Mediator for the Garment Industry (BMST-ICV), where he contributed to mediation efforts and the protection of workers’ rights. This role deepened his commitment to upholding human dignity and fundamental rights.

Today, he devotes himself entirely to supporting youth through Défi Jeunesse d’Haïti, where he is one of the two managers of the Alumni Care department. In this role, he assists students and graduates with a profound sense of service, guided by Christian and humanitarian values.
