A letter from our Board Chair
Dear Friends,
I am honored to present our 2021/2022 Impact Report highlighting the results of your investment in the ministry of Haiti Teen Challenge (HTC). Your support and prayers have kept Haiti Teen Challenge fully operational during times of hardship when many other ministries have shut down or left.
In this report, you will see that we are committed to transparency and the wise use of resources you and God have entrusted to us. National Accreditation organizations have recognized that Haiti Teen Challenge is ranked in the top 1% of all non-profits for accountability, governance, utilization of funding, and outcome reporting.
As a ministry we seek the Lord through His word and prayer and then act together, trusting in the Holy Spirit to guide us forward. Our 10-year strategic plan seeks to engage 160,000 disciples, impact every community in Port-au-Prince, see HTC graduates rise to positions of leadership, build a replicable model for the growth of HTC across the nation, and transfer authority for all operations in Haiti to our Haitian team, all while building a cross-cultural HTC Board that is focused on strategy, risk, and financial accountability. This is impossible for humans to do, but we hold on to the promise that with God, all things are possible.
Our Haitian staff is committed to “raising up godly leaders of integrity,” and have all remained in the country. New partnerships with local businesses and universities are expanding, providing additional vocational and educational opportunities for HTC alumni. Haiti Teen Challenge and Rendez-Vous Christ (RVC) Church are growing and gaining recognition in Haiti as the only ministries that are transforming troubled youth.
Our new Youth Transformation Center is generating lots of excitement, too. It will be a resource for our graduates while also filling multiple needs for RVC and the community. Thanks to your generosity, 80% of our projected construction costs have been secured. Building details are now being finalized, and bidding has begun. We will keep you posted!
To help us “Go Forward,” please prayerfully consider how God’s spirit might be leading you to give, either with a one-time gift or a monthly pledge. Your investment will encourage and empower Haitians to rebuild THEIR nation for God’s glory.
God is on the move! I hope that you will be filled with joy as you read through this report. We are thankful to Him for His continued faithfulness and to you for your incredible goodness.
To Him be the glory!
